Responsibilities
- Undertakes complex power system validation design activities and services that delivers product reliability, functionality and cost requirements.
- Skilled in the application and use of basic sensor and data acquisition concepts and best practices.
- Skilled in the installation and configuration of truck software
- Ability to adapt to diverse testing situations and challenges at customer’s site, supplier’s site, or in-house test lab.
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot system logic.
- Knowledge of the interpretation of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Durability concepts.
- Knowledge of advanced data acquisition concepts and analysis techniques required for tests such as noise, vibration, and metal fatigue.
- Knowledge of technical fundamentals of mining truck operation and control.
- Knowledge of basic low voltage controls and electrical circuits.
- Knowledge of basic mobile equipment hydraulics.
- Knowledge of using basic data displays such as time history plots and histograms.
- Utilizes business ERP systems to check parts availability or search for Bill of Materials (BOMs) and engineering drawings.

Skills And Qualifications
- A Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification and eligibility for IEAust membership.
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in intensive mechanical and electrical design or validation projects.
- Specific development experience with heavy, off road, or mining vehicles is highly desirable.
- Current Australian “C” class manual driver license
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Australian working rights
