Major 2nd tier requires capable Design Manager to drive design across commercial & apartment projects.
Our Client is a well known 2nd tier multi-disciplinary specialist based in the CBD. They have been in operation for over 25 years and specialise in government, institutional and apartment projects ranging in value from $5M - $200M+.
These market sectors are going down the design & construct path more and more so our Client is looking to secure the services of a capable design manager to manage the design on a high-profile mixed-use commercial new build.
The role will be split between site and head office and oversee all design-related aspects of the project. It will be the conduit between the consultants, the Client and the project team. It will be heavily focused on value-engineering whilst ensuring the design brief is adhered to.
To be considered you will be tertiary qualified in a design/architecture or construction related field. You will have previous experience (working for the builder) managing the design process on apartment, institutional & commercial projects.
In return the successful candidate will receive a market leading salary from one of the best employers in the industry. Due to market conditions, we're open to looking at established Design Managers as well as Design Coordinator's who are ready to make the jump. Range will be anywhere from $130,000 - $180,000 depending on previous experience.
