Our client is a mining contractor that specialises in geotechnical and construction services who have an ongoing joint venture in PNG.
Your new role
This role is responsible for overseeing the activities of the project team during the mobilisation, construction and finalisation phases as well as supporting the project leadership to deliver projects on time, on budget, within quality & safety expectations set by the site and its clients.
This role will see you working on a 22 days on, 20 days off roster, FIFO from most Capital Cities.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you'll require the following qualifications and skill set:
- Minimum 10 years of Engineering Project Management experience or equivalent.
- Engineering Qualifications, preferably Geotechnical.
- Demonstrated experience in managing third party contracts from mobilisation, through duration of projects and finalisation of projects.
- Demonstrated experience in successful interactions and problem-solving with commercial partners, clients and suppliers, regulatory authorities and government agencies on projects.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and motivating teams of construction supervisors, supervisors and site teams.
- Previous experience working across different cultures and maintaining key relationships.
- Proven engineering management experience in the Construction, Geotechnical and Soil Mechanics industry
- Completion of a Pre-employment Medical and Police Check
