We are currently seeking a temp Building Project Manager for a local organisation in Perth's Southern suburbs, approximately 20 minutes south of the CBD.
This is a temp contract position, working 38 hours per week, and is due to start as soon as possible. You'll be working with a supportive team within a stable local government environment.
You'll receive a competitive hourly rate, and weekly pay from PERSOLKELLY. You'll also be provided with ongoing support and customer service from PERSOLKELLY throughout your contract.
Reporting to the Principal Architect, your duties will include:
- Manage the project lifecycle from start to finish, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget
- Formulate project briefs and design solutions including feasibility and optioneering
- Coordinate and lead building project teams, including consultants and contractors
- Develop and manage project budgets, expenditure and reporting financials accurately
- Implement best practices in design and construction to achieve safe and sustainable outcomes
- Liaise with stakeholders to understand needs and ensure project success
- Assess existing assets for potential reuse or renovation opportunities
- Identify and mitigate project risks throughout the process
- Prepare necessary documentation for project tendering
Desired Qualities/Qualifications:
- Tertiary Qualification in project management, architecture or a related discipline
- Substantial experience in project management in the building and construction industry
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and quality control
- Sound leadership skills and ability to set direction and support a cross-functional team
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to deliver on outcomes with key stakeholders
- Proficiency in time and cost management to meet critical targets
