My client is a global industry leader in bauxite, alumina, and aluminium products, with a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation. We are dedicated to creating a safer, more sustainable world through our operations and products.

We are looking for an experienced HSE&T resource to work within their large capital project team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provision of expert HSE&T (Health, Safety, Environment & Training) advice to the Capital Projects Construction Team and Contractors engaged in the delivery of works, to ensure that both the client's Operational and Mandated Standards for Environment, Health, Safety and Training are achieved.
Ensuring all Contractors are in compliance with the Alcoa HSE&T systems, procedures and protocols through verification controls such as audits, workplace inspections, review of HSE&T Plans, and ongoing monitoring of HSE&T KPI’s and metrics.
Drive the delivery of ‘Best Practice’ initiative across the Capital Project portfolio.
Provision of HSE&T Facilitation, coaching, and guidance to deliver construction goals.
Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with the Alcoa Policies and Procedures and relevant local Legislation & Regulations.
Assist delivery of site inductions and training as required.
Lead and regularly update Project Risk Assessments.
Provide review of contractors' work methodologies to ensure risks are being adequately identified, and suitable controls are implemented.
Lead the investigation processes and ensure the close out of assigned actions.

Qualifications:
Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (Desirable).

Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety (Preferred).

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Desirable).

Statutory Supervision: BSBWHS414 & BSBWHS411 (Preferred).

Experience:
Greater than 10 years in the Construction Sector.

Greater than 4 years in a similar role, or position.

Greater than 2 years of demonstrated Auditing Experience (Desirable).

Experience within Mining or Heavy Industry (Desirable).
