THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Group Manager of Digital Technology, the Technology Project Lead is responsible for successfully delivering small to large and complex technology projects and programs through project management, governance, vendor management, and stakeholder management. The role involves overseeing end-to-end project delivery, scheduling, resource management, milestone delivery, and reporting risks, issues, and financials accurately to stakeholders.
This is a permanent(Monday to Friday) position based at our West Perth office, with regular travel to our Pilgangoora Operation in the Pilbara region.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with internal teams across technology and business to gather project requirements, deliverables, and timelines. Ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives.
- Develop, manage and maintain accurate project schedule and plan
- Develop and maintain a risk register and address issues while providing/driving solutions to reduce and/or minimize risk within a timeframe and budget.
- Work collaboratively with external Project Leads and Portfolio Managers to ensure that all submissions and reports are of a high quality and content is accurate.
- Manage and coordinate the execution of multiple streams of work withing the projects to ensure efficient delivery, coordination and allocation of resources for successful completion.
- Coordinate internal and external resources and manage financials and budgets.
- Provide advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and to support project development and delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and other projects and priorities.
- Engage with business, liaise with different parties, and focus on completing analytical work to scope and define project requirements.
- Build constructive working relationships with key business stakeholders and vendors to support successful delivery of the project/program.
- Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication.

- Provide support services to stakeholders and Group Manager Digital technology e.g. scheduling, reporting, risk and issue tracking, producing meeting minutes, quality
- Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and escalate any issues to the stakeholders and Group Manager Digital Technology for resolution. Proactively address challenges to keep projects on track.
ABOUT YOU:
- Experienced working with Large and complex Project management
- Previous experience in successfully delivering large technology projects in a mining environment, meeting project deadlines and milestones, while adhering to the required standards and staying within budget.
- Information System Technology degree or equivalent
- Microsoft certified professional, tertiary qualifications in information technology
- Working knowledge of detailed technical and operational system architecture and infrastructure.
- Ability to understand business problems and identify technical solutions.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities. Capable of effectively engaging with all levels of the organisation.
- Proficiency to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent problem and analytical solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- WA Drivers Licence
