THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, the Mine Production Engineer is responsible for short-term mine schedules, mine designs, production plans, and production reporting in support of the Company’s open pit mine and production activity including.
- Generation of the 36Hr mine plan, 2 weekly mine schedules,
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly mine production reports.
- Review and manage weekly conformance to plan.
- Chair daily meetings.
- Assist in cost-benefit analysis on continuous improvement projects.
- Liaising with Production Scheduler, Mining Supervisor, D&B Engineer, Mine Surveyor, Mine Geologists and Pit Technicians.
This is a permanent position, with an 8/6 roster based at our Pilgangoora Operation.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop the daily, and 2 weekly mine plans and schedules.
- Generate daily reports.
- Generate work instructions for daily/weekly projects.
- Liaise with Geology on dig directions.
- Facilitate daily production meetings and weekly planning meetings.
ABOUT YOU:
- Liaising with the Mining Production team, Mine Geologists, Mine Surveyor, and Pit Technicians.
- Enter production data into the mine production database and validate the data.
- Follow the mine planning procedures and system for the mining operation.
- Collaboration with Drill and Blast on blast master development and reviews
- Generate daily, weekly and month end reports.
- Report the drilled, blasted stocks and mine production and ore delivery daily in a timely manner.
- Ensure any mine designs and mining schedules are peer reviewed by the Senior Mining Engineer.
- Undertake software training as required to maintain competency.
- Conduct all Mining Engineering activity within the mining lease areas safely and to achieve regulatory compliance.
- Exhibit a proactive safety culture to prevent harm to personnel and company assets, undertake safe mining work practices and undergo mandatory safety training as required.
- Assist with managing expenses within approved guidelines and limits and within budget.
- Recommend and assist with best investment recommendations regarding open pit mining methods, mine scheduling, mine planning and mine design activity.
