THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Senior Reliability Engineer, the Reliability Engineer is responsible for providing technical engineering support focused on sustaining reliability and availability of the fixed plant, by ensuring the equipment is maintained to high standards and accurately predicting equipment failure to prevent unscheduled plant downtime, whilst ensuring compliance with all company and statutory regulations, guidelines, and procedures.
This is a permanent full-time position which operates on a FIFO 8:6 roster from Perth.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ownership of plant downtime reporting system and management of data integrity.
- Oversee condition monitoring function, including contractor technicians collating and interpreting data, to provide best practice management of at-risk items via CMMS Work management system
- Initiate and execute continuous improvement projects focused on plant improvement and defect elimination.
- Develop weekly reliability meeting to review previous weeks plant performance, condition monitoring actions and develop corrective action plan
- Assist in development of maintenance strategies and tactics to ensure optimised plant performance and cost.
- Manage development and continuous review of maintenance strategy supporting documentation.
- Provide technical support in relation to equipment performance and maintenance activities including inspections and engineering verification of shutdown tasks where applicable
- Manage and facilitate Root Cause Analysis investigations.
- Analyse and report on plant equipment performance against forecasts.
- Provide recommendations on maximising the equipment life cycle and performance
- Provide inputs into budget forecasting and sustaining capital expenditure requests.
- SME and guidance to supply on master data improvements and operational stock adjustments to suit maintenance strategy and tactics
- Oversee engagement of 3rd Party engineering for annual audits and review of plant condition, including structural auditing.
ABOUT YOU:
- Bachelor Mechanical Engineering
- Demonstrated 3-5 years experience in the mining industry within maintenance and/or reliability engineering.
- Knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to the processes.
- Systematic planning skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and the environment.
