About The Role
We have a great opportunity for Contract Administrator to join our Melbourne team.
As a key member of our Commercial team, you will be responsible for
- Work under direction of the Senior Contract Administrator or the Project Manager as appropriate to protect and enhance the commercial position of the project.
- Ensure project compliance with the company’s commercial guidelines.
- Ensure that the financial reporting including cost to complete of the project is current and accurate.
- Ensure that all subcontracts are executed, delivered and closed out, in accordance with Company commercial policies and guidelines.
- Support the Senior Contract Administrator and/or the Project Manager through the commercial aspects of contract negotiations and disputes with the Superintendent and Subcontractors as applicable.
- Ensure that head contract and subcontract obligations are understood by the site team.
About You
To be successful in this role you will:
- Relevant Qualifications in Law, Finance, Building or Quantity Surveying and/or previous Project/Contract Administration experience or demonstrated ability to acquire such knowledge in a short time.
- Demonstrated experience or ability to acquire knowledge in the commercial building industry to be able to assess claims or variations by Subcontractor’s against the quantity claimed as well as against the contractual requirements.
- Demonstrated experience or ability to acquire knowledge in cost reporting and financial management.
- Display the ability to analyse contractual issues and provide and/or recommend solutions through appropriate problem-solving techniques.
- Have a strong commitment to ‘Home Without Harm.’
