About the role
The role of a Lifeguard offers an exceptional opportunity within our Red Lake Operations (RLO), taking responsibility for ensuring the safety of all participants in pool related activities. You will be required to adhere to all pool related policies and procedures, ensure a safe and caring environment, and maintain good customer relations.
The position will be on casual basis and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario. We offer a competitive salary and future growth.
Key result areas in this role include:
- Supervising swimmers during a variety of pool related activities
- Always maintain the safety of customers
- Provide education to prevent incidents from occurring
- Be familiar with emergency procedures for the pool and be able to carry out safe rescues and administer first aid, when required
- Maintain good customer relations through positive interactions with participants
- Perform varies cleaning tasks and other duties, as assigned.
About you
As the Recreational Centre Lifeguard, you should be 16 years of age or older, have an up-to-date National Lifesaving Lifeguard Certification and a current Standard First Aid Certification. It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:
- A highly positive and enthusiastic character
- Good communication skills
- Good emergency response and critical thinking skills
- Experience with children is an asset.
