About the role
The purpose of the Core Facility Technician role is to support the Core shack team with core cutting and manual labour requirements at Evolution Mining Red Lake Operation. The position offers an exceptional opportunity to sample core to required specifications and as directed by core shack lead hand and geologists. A strong attention to detail, paying strict attention to dispatch and sample tag allocation is required.
The position will be on an 8/6 (10.5 – hour day) roaster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario with NO FIFO eligibility. We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth.
Key result areas in this role include:
- Organize and lift core boxes
- Clean up shop and core racks
- Field work sampling and assist geologists, as required
About you
As the Core Facilities Technician, you will have a Grade 12 diploma.
It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:
- Physically fit and able to perform repetitive, manually intensive work for long periods of time, and able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Competent communication skills and capable of accurately following directions
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others
- Self-motivated with experience working in an industrial setting
- Experience operating heavy equipment (an asset)
- A Valid Class G Driver’s License (an asset)
