We are looking for an individual who has a combination of skills and practical experience aligned with the position specific accountabilities below:
- Provide effective leadership and supervision to ensure the provision of efficient and effective road construction and maintenance projects and services.
- Provide advice to management, Council and external authorities in relation to road construction, renewal and maintenance projects and activities including state-controlled roads and drainage projects.
- Analyse complex data to develop sound advice and recommendations for consideration by management and Council.
- Ongoing development and review of the Roads Construction and Maintenance Management Plans and Quality and Environment Management System to ensure effective, consistent and high-quality service delivery.
- Provide contract management and administration for the delivery of the annual RMPC contract between the Department of Transport & Main Roads (DTMR) and TRC.
- Plan and schedule projects and activities in accordance with TRC’s agreed scopes of works.
- Ensure effective and efficient utilisation of human, plant and financial resources including the development and management of associated capital and operational budgets.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to prioritise major upgrade and renewal projects.
- Provide technical and practical advice, coaching and guidance to direct reports.
- Ensure the effective utilisation and management of enterprise management systems.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to provide timely quality responses to internal and external customer service requests.
- Procure and manage contract services as required to meet service requirements and ensure contract requirements are met.
It is essential that you hold a Diploma in Civil Construction Management or similar Civil Engineering qualification with local government experience desirable.
We are seeking someone with excellent written and oral communication skills & proven experience in leading a dynamic team while demonstrating resilience. It is helpful, but not mandatory, that they hold a Diploma in Project Management.
This Position Is
- ASAP Commencement
- Full-Time Permanent (or other)
- Full Time 76 hours per fortnight
- 6:00am – 3:00pm work pattern
- LGIA Stream A Level 7.1 $109,951.78 (per annum) $4,228.91 (per fortnight) - increments given annually. The certified agreement is also up for renewal so the base rate could change
- 12% Superannuation
