My client is a growing boutique engineering firm based in Adelaide, South Australia. They are looking to grow the civil aspect of their company and would like this experienced individual to come and support this growth. They offer services across a variety of sectors including infrastructure, buildings, power and energy, mining, renewables, temporary works and lifting.
Your new role
- Opportunity to build your own civil team and drive which direction the civil space goes
- Hold a pivotal role in civil engineering delivery, with a significant impact on the market
- Cultivate strong professional relationships with local clients through effective communication
- Analyse specifications and adapt to evolving client needs
- Ensure timely and high-quality project delivery, adhering to technical, commercial, and regulatory standards, while aligning with schedules and budgets
- Nurture stakeholder relationships, both internal and external
- Offer expert technical guidance to the team
- Mentor and develop junior engineers’ careers
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
- Chartered status with Engineers Australia is desirable
- Extensive expertise in civil engineering and design documentation, including a solid working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes
- Substantial industry experience on Australian civil engineering projects, preferably in a consulting environment
- Proficiency in managing multiple concurrent projects, spanning various scales and sectors
- Effective client engagement exposure and business development experience is desirable
- Collaborative approach across different engineering disciplines
- Familiarity with tendering requirements and a track record of achieving successful outcomes
- Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong customer focus and teamwork orientation.
