The Opportunity
As an integral member of our Project Delivery team, you will be responsible for the delivery of projects associated with new connections and the augmentation and replacement of existing infrastructure within the network. These projects are delivered via an outsourced model, usually a design and construct or engineering, procurement and construction contract.
You will be working on the owner/client side of the project, managing the project from planning through to energisation. In this diverse role you will be responsible for ensuring design and contract specifications, quality and regulatory standards as well as health, safety and environmental and commercial obligations are achieved, and that the project is delivered successfully.
These activities will require strong leadership skills and the ability to build relationships across broad stakeholder groups to influence outcomes and ensure deliverables are achieved.
About You
Here's what we're looking for in our next team member:
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in project management or similar, in the energy, utilities and/or infrastructure industries.
- An understanding of high voltage networks, regulations and the National Electricity Market requirements for establishing new connections will be highly regarded.
- Experience that is underpinned by strong stakeholder engagement skills, detailed budgeting and risk management experience.
- Significant experience managing complex environment, development approval, land procurement, cultural heritage and sustainability requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- A strong understanding of procurement and contract management strategies relating to EPC, design, construction and commission.
- Excellent scheduling and planning experience in MS Projects (or similar).
- A pragmatic and solution focused approach individual with strong commercial acumen and the initiative, resilience and drive to deliver solutions through others.
