THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, Operations the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis activities for the Pilgangoora Operation.
This is a permanent full-time role based at our beautiful West Perth office, near the City West train station, which includes travel to site on an ad-hoc basis.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading the development and execution of the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads and senior management ensuring inputs are accurate, analysing results and building the story to explain to the business
- Developing accurate financial forecasts and models to support business planning and resource allocation decisions
- Monitoring and analysing financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities and provide regular reports
- Preparing and presenting reports to management and stakeholders to facilitate financial & operational review of the business
- Partnering with operational teams and other key stakeholders to identify areas for improvement (operational, financial and reporting) as well as develop metrics and dashboards that drive performance improvement and operational efficiency
- Ensuring key deliverables are met through team management prioritization of tasks.
ABOUT YOU:
- Formal tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
- CA/CPA qualifications highly regarded
- An in-depth knowledge of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling with significant
- Significant experience in business partnering in a finance or commercial environment, ideally in the mining and resources industry
- Demonstrated understanding of mining operations
- Advanced analytical skills, including experience working with MS Excel and PowerBI
- Strong leadership skills with proven prior experience in managing teams of people and working collaboratively to achieve key deliverables
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
- A strong eye for detail with an ability to pick up discrepancies, ask probing respectful questions and provide constructive feedback
- Driven to continuously improve processes by identifying areas for improvement, as well as non value add processes and planning and coordinating change management
