A significant opportunity has arisen for a skilled Contracts Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and negotiating Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts specifically for BESS projects, ensuring these projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of EPC contracts for BESS projects, from negotiation to execution.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms and conditions to safeguard the organisation's interests.
- Work closely with project management, legal, and finance teams to align contracts with strategic goals.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Monitor contract performance and manage any changes or amendments.
- Handle claims, disputes, and contract-related issues to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
- Support the project teams by providing expert advice on contract management and legal matters.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of contract management processes and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in contract management, with a focus on EPC contracts in the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of BESS technology and energy storage solutions.
- Proven experience in managing contracts for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk management.
