You will be joining a well renowned Development Advisory and Project Management Consultancy, who have built a strong reputation within the Melbourne market over the past 2 decades.
They have a solid pipeline of projects across the Multi-Residential, Student Accommodation, Hotel and Mixed-Use sectors.
You’ll be working with a talented team of Project Managers where everyone enjoys the autonomy of running their own projects, with full end to end exposure across development advisory and project management.
They also offer flexible working, with 1 day a week WFH option and flexible start/finish times, alongside a car parking space for each staff member provided.
Your New Role:
Within this role, you will work alongside a talented team and reporting directly to the Project Director, while gaining the opportunity to lead projects, from end to end, across the full project cycle, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standard.
Within this role, some of your responsibilities may include:
- Project Planning: Developing and executing project plans, including scope, budget, and timelines, in consultation with the client and other stakeholders.
- Project Coordination: Coordinating all aspects of the project, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning, to ensure that it is completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client.
- Budget Management: Managing project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring that costs are within budget constraints.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, including managing project changes and issues that arise during construction.
- Quality Control: Ensuring that the project meets quality standards and is compliant with all relevant regulations and codes.
- Communication: Maintaining regular communication with the client, stakeholders, and project team members to ensure that everyone is informed of project progress and any issues that arise.
- Contract Administration: Administering contracts and ensuring that all parties fulfill their contractual obligations.
- Team Management: Managing project teams, including consultants, contractors, and vendors, to ensure that they deliver quality work on time and within budget.
Job Requirements:
- A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, along with 8+ years of experience in project management, where you have gained experience working on large scale mixed-use and /or residential apartment developments.
- Must have experience working on projects in excess of $100million.
- Ideally, you will have gained exposure working across the full project cycle, as well as, leading projects and teams, with a successful track record of projects being completed within time and budget.
- You should have a strong understanding of construction processes, project management methodologies, and budgeting and scheduling techniques.
- Alongside this, you will ideally have excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Must also have recent experience working in Melbourne and a strong working knowledge of the Victorian Building Codes.
