A well-established, residential and commercial engineering consultancy based in Brisbane’s south is seeking a Design Technician / Drafter to join its expanding team. In this newly created role you will be responsible for producing foundation and retaining wall design and documentation.

- $65K-$85K + super (negotiable depending on experience)
Responsibilities
- Deliver drawings and designs that comply with industry standards
- Provide technical support to customers and respond to email and phone enquiries
- Check completed designs for accuracy and compliance to standards and National Construction Code
- Develop expertise in soil properties and their influence on building foundation design, and apply this knowledge to your work tasks
Skills and attributes
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in foundation or structural design, preferably with a residential focus
- Knowledgeable on AS2870 and AS1170
- Understanding of soil properties and laboratory testing process
- Inquisitive with a willingness to learn
- Team player, contribute to collaborative culture
- Full working rights in Australia
