A well-established, residential and commercial engineering consultancy based in Brisbane’s south is seeking a Design Technician / Drafter to join its expanding team. In this newly created role you will be responsible for producing foundation and retaining wall design and documentation.

$65K-$85K + super (negotiable depending on experience)

Responsibilities

Deliver drawings and designs that comply with industry standards
Provide technical support to customers and respond to email and phone enquiries
Check completed designs for accuracy and compliance to standards and National Construction Code
Develop expertise in soil properties and their influence on building foundation design, and apply this knowledge to your work tasks

Skills and attributes

Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum 2 years’ experience in foundation or structural design, preferably with a residential focus
Knowledgeable on AS2870 and AS1170
Understanding of soil properties and laboratory testing process
Inquisitive with a willingness to learn
Team player, contribute to collaborative culture
Full working rights in Australia
