This position is accountable for a range of typical project activities and outcomes that help drive the integration of agile methodologies in standard project management processes and practices in a public sector operating environment.
Key Duties
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and align project documentation (timelines, budgets, resources) with strategic objectives.
- Identify and mitigate project risks to support project continuity and goal achievement.
- Provide teams with necessary tools, resources, and support for effective project execution.
- Manage project progress, escalate issues as needed, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, comply with regulations, and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation.
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality outcomes using Agile methodologies in a complex and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute project plans, timelines, budgets and resource requirements that meet the needs of the department and its stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and to develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and learning, and the ability to promote a positive culture of innovation and agility within teams.
- Understanding of or ability to acquire understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures, and the ability to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and requirements.
