The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Civil Designer to join our growing Brisbane Civil team. This role offers the chance to work on diverse and challenging civil design projects, including property and urban development. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting project teams on a variety of civil design projects.
- Preparing and drafting detailed drawings, models, and designs in both 2D and 3D formats.
- Enhancing civil design practices by staying up-to-date with the latest technology and CAD/modelling practices through continuous training and professional development.
- Conducting site investigations to gain firsthand insight into the projects.
- Maintaining accurate project documentation, including transmittals, filing, and ensuring that all designs are documented to industry standards.
The Candidate
We are looking for a proactive Civil Designer who brings the following skills and experience:
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in 3D civil modelling and design within a civil engineering consultancy.
- Proficiency with civil design software packages, such as Civil Site Design, 12D, and AutoCAD.
- Background in the built environment.
- Strong ability to coordinate with project teams and collaborate effectively.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to establish efficient workflows and consistency in repetitive tasks.
- Creative problem-solving skills to overcome design challenges.
- Strong team ethic and a collaborative approach across different functional groups.
- Experience in quality management to develop and uphold 3D modelling standards and procedures.
