We are looking for an experienced estimator for projects all over Queensland. You will need civil experience with also a build element. You will need to understand Queensland building and have Australian experience to be eligible for this position. You will be working close to the project team to ensure the delivery of the projects.
MUST LIVE IN AUSTRALIA WITH PERMANENT RESIDENCY
What you'll do?
- Liaise with Clients for Tender opportunities.
- Gathering and reviewing Tender packages for full scope and particulars in relation to the Tender Scope of Works.
- Prepare and request Quotation from Suppliers and Subcontractors in accordance with the Scope of Works.
- Assessing Supplier and Subcontractor Quotations against desired Outcomes.
- Taking off and calculating material quantities from drawings to a first principles basis.
- Calculating and applying production rates for labour, plant and equipment.
- Calculating and programming the overall duration of Projects and Project overheads in consultation with the Construction Manager.
- Preparing professional and accurate Tender Submission.
- Post-tender negotiations with Client to secure new works.
- Assess Contractor Administrators with the preparation of Variation Claims.
What you need?
- With a Bachelor’s Degree = 3 years + in similar role post-graduation;
- With Trade Qualification = 5 years + in similar role post-achieving Trade Qualification.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying; or Trade Qualification in Carpentry.
- Strong understanding of the Construction Industry and Process of Building.
- Strong knowledge and ability to read and understand drawings.
- Strong knowledge and ability to Accurately take off materials to first principles basis.
- Strong knowledge and ability to Accurately calculate production rates for executing the works.
- Strong knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Sound knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Project.
- Strong knowledge and abilities with Buildsoft Global or similar Estimating package.

- Full-time hours Monday - Friday
- $105,000.00 to $130,000.00 + Superannuation - Computer and Office Phone will be provide - Car and fuel card are negotiable.
