Your new company
Your new company is a family-owned construction company that has been operating since the early 1900s. They do a mix of Civil and Commercial projects, focusing on renewable energy works. They are looking for an intermediate Estimator to join their team on the North-side of Brisbane.
Your new role
Your new role will consist of administering multiple contracts in an effective and efficient manner as per the needs of the company. Ensuring that all aspects of a contract are monitored or managed to protect the interests of your new company. You will be working closely with the project delivery team to ensure project outcomes are achieved.
You will also be;
- Liaise with clients for tender opportunities
- Gathering and reviewing tendering packages for full scopes and particulars in relation to the tender scope of works
- Prepare and request Quotation from Suppliers and Subcontractors in accordance with the Scope of Works
- Assessing Supplier and Subcontractor Quotations against desired outcomes
- Taking off and calculating material quantities from drawings to a first principles basis
- Calculating and applying production rates for labour, plant and equipment
- Calculating and programming the overall
What you'll need to succeed
What you'll need to succeed in your new role;
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management,
- Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying; or
- Trade Qualification in Carpentry.
