Commercial Manager Needed ASAP
The Commercial Manager will work in a small Project Team reporting on a major Government descoping project. The client is seeking assistance to progress a range of scope reduction activities across project management, inventory, financial, commercial and governance streams
The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical, commercial and financial skills and experience to analyse and interpret financial data, contracts and then relating it to potential rescoping of the future project.
Responsibilities
- Support the review, analysis and verification of Scope Reduction claims;
- Support the Financial Working Group; and
- Support contract repricing activities.
- Analyze current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations on project scope and contract requirements
- Consistently analyze financial information based on both routine and ad-hoc reports
- Interpret financial data to recognise changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators
- Communicate financial insights suggesting business issues and benefits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance or equivalent experience
- 5+ years' financial analysis and modelling experience specifically in government on major projects
- Advanced knowledge of Excel

- Canberra based role at Russell, ACT
- Level 3
- 12 month contract
- Experience in a major government department and/or Defence
- Baseline or NV1 Security clearance
- Need to be available in the next two weeks
