The project
The project involves the integration of all C-sUAS capabilities and aims to establish a Joint C-sUAS Office to manage and coordinate all related activities. The JCO will act as a central hub to engage strategically with Whole-of-Australian Government (WoAG) and international partners to identify threats, current system innovations, and ensure system interoperability and integration.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Duties will include development of strategies, plans, and provide support for control functions and implementation activities. Activities will include managing the risks, decisions, issues, and coordinating with stakeholders.
- Manage and conduct research and act as a liaison point in order to identify and understand complex multidomain sUAS threats and technologies.
- Create and deliver briefings and reports for various audiences, senior leaders, stakeholders etc.
- Organise and facilitate workshops and presentations, ensure effect communications, and collaborate with branch members and stakeholders.
Experience required
- NV1 security clearance is essential for this role.
- Program/ Project Management qualification, or within Business/ Finance or Government Administration.
- Background working within Defence in a Project management position, and hold a strong understanding of the Capability Life Cycle and management of Defence projects.
- Experience working on projects focused around Counter-Uncrewed Aerial Systems (CUAS), and drone/ counter-drone knowledge.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and quickly evolving role, hold strong organisational, written and verbal skills.
