Position Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial operations for Descon Developers. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of handling financial planning, reporting, and compliance functions to support the company's objectives. The Accountant will collaborate with various departments to maintain effective resource allocation and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations Management
- Oversee and manage financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Maintain meticulous records and ensure accurate financial data.
Reconciliation and Audits
- Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
- Perform internal audits to maintain data integrity and compliance with accounting regulations.
Resource Management and Cost Control
- Work with department heads to manage and allocate financial resources effectively.
- Review and analyze contracts for cost-effectiveness and resource efficiency.
Payroll and Compliance
- Manage payroll processing and ensure timely payments to employees and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
Financial Planning and Strategy Development
- Assist in the development of financial strategies to support Descon Developers’ growth and profitability.
- Conduct financial analysis to provide insights and recommendations for strategic planning.
Requirements:
- Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apoky,
- Diploma in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years in accounting, finance, or a related role.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of compliance and financial regulations related to the construction industry is an advantage.
