About The Role
- Manage and develop a team of HSEQ professionals and empower the team to participate and lead HSEQ programs and initiatives into operations and provide expert technical HSEQ advice to senior leaders.
- Provide day to day support (as required) to operations to manage HSEQ and build capability, including completion of risk assessments, audits and inspections and completion of incident investigations for critical or serious incidents.
- Developing a proactive safety culture across the regions through promotion of “what good looks like”, sharing learnings, using data and analytics to monitor and review performance; and holding leaders accountable to drive continuous improvement that enhance HSEQ outcomes.
- Continually improve the HSEQ Management System and assurance programs and lead implementation across the operations.
- Oversee regulator inspections pertaining to WHS and liaise with authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Work closely with the Injury and Claims Manager to support delivery of best practice in early intervention, injury management and rehabilitation outcomes and ensure cases are managed efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and deliver relevant HSEQ training.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in OHS or a related discipline
- Previous experience in a similar role within a high risk industrial environment with a proven track record in delivering effective HSEQ programs and driving results.
- Experience managing and developing a team of professionals.
- Well-developed analytical, planning and project management skills.
- Well-developed communication, influencing and collaboration skills.
- Well-developed decision making, problem solving and reasoning skills.
- Well-developed ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience and solid understanding of WHS legislation and ability to translate this in a simple and pragmatic way to leaders
