Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the construction and commissioning of a large wastewater treatment plant. This is a critical role that involves managing all mechanical and electrical components of the treatment plant, ensuring successful project delivery from start to finish. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies to meet project timelines, quality standards, and environmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the construction and commissioning of a large-scale wastewater treatment plant.
- Manage the build of mechanical and electrical components, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Ensuring that work is carried out according to the design deliverables
- Manage the site's day to day activities, including coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout the construction process.
- Troubleshoot issues on-site and provide solutions to maintain project timelines and quality.
- Monitor and control project budgets, schedules, and resources.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience managing the construction of mechanical and electrical systems in wastewater treatment plants or similar infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, plant components, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience working with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
About You
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction management, particularly in water or wastewater treatment infrastructure.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage complex projects and teams.
- Thorough understanding of Australian wastewater regulations and industry best practices.
