The Role
As the Area Manager, you will be responsible for the Asphalt Operations. You will be reporting to the Regional Manager. You will have a vital role in leading teams, with a strong focus on safety, delivery, and stakeholder relationships. You will be responsible for managing a diverse client portfolio within the region, delivering surfacing works on key state government, local government, and private projects.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Manage budgets, works programs and resourcing to ensure efficient and profitable delivery.
- Provide advice on tenders and work opportunities, including resourcing, productivities, supplier details and site information.
- Overall supervision and management of personnel, suppliers, subcontractors, equipment resources and facilities within the business unit area.
- Leadership of company standards, ensuring processes are upheld and improvement opportunities are identified.
- Monitor operational requirements and effectively manage resources to ensure work is delivered efficiently.
- Communicate with clients to secure work opportunities, maintain positive relationships, and remain informed regarding local market conditions.
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have
- Experience in the Surfacing industry is essential
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications
- Previous experience in Estimating, Tendering, Contract Supervision or Project Management
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to travel as required
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
