We are currently seeking a
Project Manager to join a reputable clients Civil team.
About The Role
Working closely with the senior management team, this role requires a proactive and dynamic individual with hands-on experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of Civil Construction projects. Your duties will include:
- Managing all aspects of a diverse range of civil construction projects to successful completion; on-time and on-budget.
- Comprehensive and articulate contracts management, administering contracts issued by clients, and producing Sub-Contract Agreements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the client.
- Ensure all projects are completed in total compliance with the companies Integrated Management System for Safety, Quality and Environment.
- Establish and maintain a positive and productive client relationship to assist in project delivery and maximise the opportunity of repeat business.
- Utilising plant & labour resources to ensure cost-effective, safe delivery of projects.
- Producing monthly revenue and costs forecasting reports.
- Effectively managing contractual matters, including variations and claims.
- Coaching, mentoring and training of relevant staff and identify and develop staff within the department.
- Achieving project completion to the satisfaction of our clients, and the company.
The following experience and attributes are required for the position:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management - highly desirable.
- Proven track record delivering a wide range of Civil Engineering projects.
- You will have strong management skills with the ability to manage, mentor and coach a team of people.
- Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- You will have excellent planning, organisation and communication skills allowing you to manage multiple priorities whilst delivering your project within time, cost and quality constraints.
- Full understanding of all safety, environment and quality systems, and a detailed knowledge of legislation associated with the local civil construction industry.
- Highly effective skills in negotiating, evaluating, and administering contracts, specifications, Australian standards.
