This role will provide leadership and contribute the highest level of technical skill on all projects under their control. This role leads the development and training of leading-edge technical skills and understands how to practically apply them in ways that add value to services that differentiate AECOM in the marketplace.
In this role, the Rail Systems Team Lead will utilise their strong industry networks to offer an opportunity to create broader connections with clients, stakeholders, and senior members of the AECOM family across the ANZ region and the globe. The OHW Team Lead will inspire confidence with clients and stakeholders alike and build collaborative diverse teams who feel empowered to do their best.
Job Description
Responsible for management of the Rail Systems team (including the SESA team) within VSA and support ANZ major projects
Assistance in capture planning and pursuits for key market opportunities
Responsible for development and implementation of Rail Systems Sector client prioritization and strategies.
Hold Project Director roles on key client Rail Systems projects
Collaborate with the ANZ community to position for and secure key VSA and ANZ project opportunities.
Work with the VSA Rail Group Lead to grow Rail business and execute strategy.
Be involved in the strategic growth of the ANZ Rail business through:
Facilitation of the development and implementation of strategy in collaboration with the Regional Team Leaders
Analyse key markets to look at opportunities for growth
Support the Market Sector Leaders in identification of opportunities to collaborate between ANZ and the global business
Work with Marketing and Communications to support the brand enhancement and internal alignment of each business line
Operational support for the business lines:
Involved in the review of the accuracy of the pipeline & highlight changes required to Team Leaders
Support implementation of initiatives focusing on:
Implementation of our sustainable legacies strategy
Digital Adoption
Qualifications
Leadership skills including technical leadership, team building, innovation, and motivation skills.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and meeting delivery requirements
Demonstrated solid functional and/or technical knowledge with skills and abilities specific to rail systems design with proven delivery record.
OHW design experience including 25kV and/or 1500DC OHW design experience.
Experience in Light Rail and 750V DC systems
Required to oversee/ prepare proposals / detailed tender submissions for clients and negotiate contracts
Required to undertake technical reviews of OHW Designs AECOM projects and act as an AECOM Lead Verifier
Knowledge of the market for consulting services
Chartered Status
Relevant Professional Accreditation (RPEV and RPEQ)
Rail industry Working Card
MTM Designer/ Checker/ Approver Competency advantageous
QR Designer/ Checker/ Approver Competency advantageous
