The National Blood Authority (NBA) is an Australian Government statutory agency whose role is to work in a collaborative manner with all Australian governments and blood sector stakeholders to ensure Australia's blood supply is safe, secure, adequate, and affordable.
For 20 years, the NBA has delivered an uninterrupted supply of blood and blood products to Australians in need under the national blood arrangements.
Job Context
The Patient Blood Management Team supports governments, health service organisations and health care professionals to improve patient outcomes through the appropriate use of blood and blood products and related services.
The Senior Project Officer roles support the development of Patient Blood Management Guidelines and their associated implementation strategies, haemovigilance and education.
Key responsibilities
Although not exhaustive, the duties and responsibilities of this position may require you to:
- Develop and manage projects, including planning, evaluation and preparation of reports on relevant program activities and/or project milestones.
- Undertake analysis of reports and proposals to formulate recommendations.
- Prepare briefs, minutes, reports and presentations. Assist in the development and review of policies, guidance materials, standard operating procedures, and other documents, as required.
- Assist in coordinating and managing procurement processes in line with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and NBA policies.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide management and secretariat support to NBA advisory and stakeholder committees and working groups.
- Contribute to the NBA’s organisational strategy and culture.
- Work in a collaborative manner as a member of a team and across the NBA.
The position may require occasional interstate travel.
