A major provider of large-scale digital infrastructure, specialising in data centres, is seeking a Project Director for their Melbourne team. The role focuses on managing the construction and fitout of data halls and office spaces, working closely with the development team to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Report to the Development Manager, collaborate on design and scope, and provide leadership to project management teams.
- Construction Oversight: Manage all phases of construction for new builds and fitouts, including safety, quality, timeline, and budget control.
- Risk Management: Oversee project risks from end to end, including partnering with external parties and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main contact for internal teams, contractors, and clients, ensuring project objectives and milestones are met.
- Contract Management: Work with the Contracts Manager to review claims, invoices, and variations, ensuring cost and time management.
- Program Management: Track project progress, report on key metrics, and facilitate handover to operations.
- Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Liaise weekly with contractors and suppliers to ensure project outcomes are aligned.
Requirements:
- 15+ years' experience in large-scale construction, ideally in the data centre sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or structural engineering, or project/construction management.
- Strong adaptability and forward-thinking capabilities to navigate evolving project demands.
