Our client is a leading player in the Australian energy market. They offer bespoke solutions to commercial clients and enable them refine their energy procurement strategy and deliver a sustainable, greener outcome.
Reporting into the Head of Projects, this individual will apply engineering and project management skills to manage the safe operation of our client's Renewable Energy projects.
Role:
- Work with the Project Team to identify key assessment criteria for new solar, battery and wind projects
- Identify green field and brown field project opportunities based on identified assessment criteria
- Develop risk-based development plans for each phase of the project from identification to shovel ready status
- Work with the Project Team to prepare development budgets for approval by management teams
- Lead the permitting process for development projects, including management of external consultants and specialist studies
- Lead the consultation process with project stakeholders and communities
- Coordinate with the internal design team on site layouts, plant selection and design optimisation throughout the development cycle
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in project development with objectives relating to project management and delivery
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of commercial and utility scale solar, wind and/or battery sector
- Strong background in planning approvals
- Willingness to travel as required
- Able to diagnose complex reports and fix errors
- Strong project management skills
- Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and liaison skills, including the ability to discuss complex concepts with non-experts
