Your new company
Our client, a successful company specialised in the construction of commercial, industrial, residential and government facilities, is recruiting a talented HSE Advisor / Junior HSE Advisor to work on various Building projects in Darwin.
Your new role
As a HSE Advisor, you will be responsible for implementing the company's Safety systems on site, making sure the projects are delivered in accordance with the highest health, safety, and environmental standards. This is a full-time position based in Darwin.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Manage the Safety Management System and Safety database.
- Conduct risk assessments for on-site activity and work processes (JSA/SWMS).
- Review, monitor and audit the activity on site to ensure the implementation of the HSEQ program.
- Conduct site inductions for the staff on site and assess training needs if required.
- Organise and conduct toolbox meetings.
- Undertake incident investigation when required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Hold a Certificate IV in WHS or a relevant degree.
- Previous experience working on site in the construction industry (Civil or Building).
- A Trade or Construction background is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
