The Role
We are seeking expression of interest for skilled and motivated Project Engineers to support the delivery of Infrastructure projects across various sectors including transport, aged care, social housing, water, and local council or state government initiatives.
You will play a critical role in assisting the Project Manager in planning, executing, and coordinating project activities to ensure successful project outcomes.
These roles require strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Technical Support and Coordination:
- Provide technical support to the Project Manager and project team in planning, designing, and executing civil infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate project activities, resources, and logistics to ensure efficient project delivery and compliance with project requirements.
Design Review and Analysis:
- Review project designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
- Conduct technical analyses and evaluations to support design decisions and optimize project outcomes.
Construction Management Support:
- Assist in coordinating construction activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain project schedule and quality.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
- Address stakeholder inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
Budget and Cost Management:
- Support the Project Manager in monitoring project budgets, expenditures, and financial forecasts.
- Assist in tracking costs, analysing variances, and implementing strategies to optimise resource utilisation and control project costs.
Risk Management:
- Assist in identifying potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project delivery.
- Support the development of risk management plans and mitigation strategies to minimise risk exposure and ensure project success.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship on project sites.
- Assist in implementing health and safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and technical documentation.
- Assist in preparing presentations and reports for clients, stakeholders, and internal stakeholders as required.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in civil engineering or construction, with exposure to infrastructure projects across multiple sectors.
- Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and infrastructure systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other design software is desirable.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with local councils, state governments, or government agencies is a plus.
