About The Team
The Utilities Network Delivery team is responsible for the project management of utility network capital works projects (including new/update and renewals), including water, sewerage and stormwater infrastructure.
About Your New Role
- Promoting safety within the workplace as well as implementing and monitoring safety procedures / requirements on site.
- Developing and maintaining a positive work attitude amongst crews.
- Working collaboratively with our long-term partners that complete design, engineering and delivery phases of our projects.
- Establishing priorities, monitoring work outputs and setting deliverables across numerous works sites.
- Involvement in the early planning, design and commissioning of works to ensure constructability and value for money for the City.
- Developing works programs to ensure efficient use of resources and delivery of the overall capital works program.
- Providing regular reports and submissions relating to the planning and progress of capital works programs / projects, production rates, budget, expenditure, and daily status reports to facilitate the effective and efficient management of the capital and renewal works program.
- Overseeing the deployment and assessment of staff and resources, including the supervision of day labour, contract services and plant hire.
- Establishing procedures and work practices and coordinating the various aspects of projects.
- Assisting with administration of civil and structural engineering contracts, including progress payments, variations to contract, measurement for payment and interpretation of contract conditions.
We're Looking For People Who Have
- A background in network utilities construction of water and sewerage assets.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety in the workplace to ensure a high level of compliance is maintained on City sites.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to perform effectively in a team environment and foster good relationships as part of a high performing team.
- A “can do” attitude and thrives on innovatively solving problems in a complex environment.
This position will suit a professional who has had experience in engineering or civil construction compliance and auditing as you will be spending time on site ensuring works are being carried out according to specifications.
