The Role
Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalising projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role requires a deep understanding of IT service management (ITSM) and configuration management processes.
Project Planning And Management
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.
CMDB Implementation
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of the CMDB.
- Ensure the CMDB integrates seamlessly with existing ITSM tools and processes.
- Define and implement data governance and quality standards for the CMDB.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and manage project risks and issues, escalating as necessary.
Team Leadership
- Lead and motivate project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the resources and knowledge needed to succeed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Preferred - experience as a Project Manager, preferably in ITSM or CMDB implementation projects.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is highly desired.
