Our client is a large government department tasked with delivering a range of health, welfare, and support services to individuals, families, and communities.
The Role
Our federal government client is seeking the experienced Project Schedulers to develop and manage integrated schedules that track activity across all streams of work as they contribute to project and program outcomes. You will be responsible for capturing and monitoring the relationship between dependencies and setting realistic and achievable target milestones.
Key duties will include:
- Liaise with stakeholders across work streams to inform design, development and implementation of schedules.
- Support relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Assist with routine reporting cycles update schedules to ensure accurate sequencing, alignment of dependencies, and progress against deliverables and milestones.
- Identify and help resolve scheduling issues to support the delivery of outcomes.
- Contribute to the effectiveness of streamlined team processes and continuous improvement. Perform research and analysis on project schedules and contribute to the preparation of reports.
Skills and experience required:
- Demonstrated experience managing scheduling activities across large-scale projects and programs.
- Demonstrated experience capturing and monitoring the relationship between dependencies, and ensure target milestones are realistic, achievable, and on track.
- Demonstrated experience operating with a considerable degree of independence, working under the broad direction of senior staff
- Demonstrated experience providing scheduling expertise for highly technical and complex schedules that aligns to and meets business objectives
- Knowledge or experience with Services Australia portfolio, programme and project management methodologies, frameworks and practices.
