Here at Concentis, we have partnered with a global mining company to find a Construction Lead/Supervisor with an electrical discipline to oversee the delivery and commissioning of a range of capital projects on a complex brownfield mine.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of construction activities, undertake sub-contractor management, respond to technical queries, and lead a safe and quality working environment.
This is a client-side role, flying to a remote mine site in the Northern Territory on a 2/1 roster engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Leading a sub-contractor workforce to ensure projects are meeting budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Safety leadership in developing a safety culture and ensuring contracting partners comply with safety policies and with all relevant HSE standards, regulations, and practices
- Ensure safe, cost-effective, quality work is carried out with project execution tasks
- Review project work scopes and schedules to ensure that they identify correct parts, resources and durations
- Conduct workplace area inspections within the project area of responsibility
About You:
- Trades certificate in associated discipline; or equivalent qualification
- Extensive experience in electrical construction supervision of projects in the mining, oil and gas or construction sector.
- Must have extensive sub-contractor management experience.
- Background in leading the delivery of electrical projects in a Civil/Mining or Oil & Gas environment
- Effective and collaborative communication skills (written & verbal)
- Leadership competencies and a strong track record of HSE in the field
- Demonstrated experience in leading contracting partners in remote locations
