Civil Laborer to join one of our respected civil construction clients in Matamata.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a dynamic team on a variety of civil construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with general laboring duties on civil construction sites, including trenching, digging, and site preparation.
- Assist in the installation of drainage systems, roadworks, and other infrastructure projects.
- Load and unload materials, equipment, and machinery on-site.
- Operate hand tools and power tools, including drills, grinders, and small machinery.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and site-specific safety plans.
- Support tradespeople and supervisors in completing tasks efficiently.
- Assist in the erection of site structures and formwork where necessary.
Skills & Experience:- Previous experience in civil construction or general laboring is preferred but not essential.
- Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of basic construction tools and equipment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to health and safety protocols.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transport is preferred.
