About the role:
Work alongside a small, close-knit team, adventuring to a variety of tasks, with no two days being the same. Assisting the team with day-to-day tasks repairing, maintaining, and servicing equipment within their mechanical workshop.
This role is Monday - Friday, departing from Fremantle at 7am on a payrate of $55 per hour (inclusive od 25% casual loading) with shift penalties applicable on the weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, and service Diesel generators, light vehicles, golf buggies, locomotive train carriage, and mobile plants equipment on the island.
- General assistance and support with mechanic duties in the mechanical workshop.
- Collaborate with the team's day-today duties.
Requirements:
- Certificate 3 in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or
- Certificate 3 in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology or
- Certificate 3 in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Proven experience as a heavy diesel mechanic
- Ability to work as a team or independently
- Rights to work within Australia
