About the Role Join Safety Steel Structures as an Operations Manager and take the helm of our dynamic site operations. In this pivotal role, you’ll plan, direct, and coordinate all aspects of our operations, overseeing everything from purchasing to delivery. Your leadership will ensure our production consistently meets cost, quality, and quantity targets. As the primary liaison between production and our valued clients or project managers, you’ll foster seamless communication and collaboration. You'll also lead the charge in enhancing the quality and scheduling of engineering design, certification, and drafting processes, ensuring that every task aligns with our high standards and regulatory requirements. If you’re ready to make a significant impact and drive operational excellence, we want to hear from you Key Responsibilities Lead the engineering and drafting team to ensure efficient scheduling and timely project completion while meeting quality, cost, and safety standards. Optimize production forecasting and scheduling to keep projects on time and within budget. Review plans, drawings, and BOMs for compliance with engineering requirements. Monitor production standards to guarantee quality in finished products. Collaborate with team members and clients to address issues and meet requirements. Implement production tracking and quality control systems to resolve operational challenges. Manage purchasing to minimize costs and ensure timely delivery. Promote safe work practices and compliance with safety regulations. Facilitate regular cross-departmental production meetings. Support additional tasks as needed for operational efficiency. Skills and Experience Experience in production or project management. Proven leadership in construction and engineering, capable of building cohesive teams and managing projects from start to finish. Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, and sheet metal work, with a solid understanding of engineering principles. Background in engineering design and drafting, proficient with software like AutoCAD, Revit, or Tekla, and familiar with industry standards and regulations. Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to lead teams, foster relationships, and resolve conflicts. Ability to thrive under pressure, multitask, and make informed decisions while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with accuracy in creating and interpreting technical drawings. Experience managing project timelines, resources, and budgets while coordinating with stakeholders. Willingness to learn and adapt, with a hands-on approach focused on achieving results and process improvements.
