Workforce International is searching for multiple Parks /Open Space Labourers in Townsville 4810. This is an excellent opportunity to give back to the local community whilst further building on your existing labouring experience.
Parks Labourer - $36.86p/hr 38 hours per week Monday - Friday 0600 - 1500 daily, 9-day fortnight
Job Description
Labourers are responsible for the cleaning, mowing and maintenance of parks, gardens, drains, bus stops and playgrounds.
Main Duties
- Pre-start
- Driving to / from job sites
- Mowing and brush cutting
- Trimming / pruning
- Hedging
- Edging
- Tidying parks and open spaces
- Tip run
- Mulching
- Herbicide work
- Cleaning the rockpool
- Garden / tree planting
- Litter control and graffiti removal
- Staking trees
- Maintaining and replacing sand in sandpits.
Position Outline
Operation of minor plant including Brush cutters, mowers, hedgers etc. Duties including but not limited to Shovelling, Raking, carrying loads, walking up to 5km daily, tie down loads.
Key Skill Requirements
Construction White Card
Current Police Check
C Class Licence
Ability to pass Pre-Employment Medical incl. Drug & Alcohol testing
Physically fit
Previous experience working outdoors.
