Your New Opportunity:
A rare and fantastic opportunity is now available for a passionate individual to join our growing organisation as an Environment Manager based in our Erskine Park office. You will assist supporting various aspects of environmental management, including monitoring & compliance, risk management, and quality assurance within the tyre recycling industry.
Reporting to the General Manager - Operations, you will provide Senior Leadership to the development and direction of environmental and sustainability strategy, whilst collaborating with cross divisional peers and other Senior Leadership.

You will have key responsibilities in:
- Assist with the development and implementation of Tyrecycle’s Environmental Strategy
- Engaging with regulators and obtaining approvals for key environmental projects
- Prepare monthly environmental reports for the Board
- Acting as the management representative for ISO 14001
- Engage with and maintain strong collaborative relationships with government and regulatory authorities and other stakeholders
- Assist in carrying out internal HSEQ audits and maintain HSEQ systems
- Support site management with the EPA, Council, and external consultants in the areas of licence management, waste, tracking, disposal, transport/tracking and environmental matters
- Work with the General Manager - Operations to prepare the annual Environment plan/objectives and targets for Tyrecycle
- Ensure EPA Licence conditions are met for each site
- Implement and support compliance with Tyrecycle safety systems
- Influence safety culture improvement
About you:
- Tertiary (to Cert IV level) or Bachelor of Engineering within Environmental, Science or Sustainability related discipline a prerequisite
- Experience implementing Environmental Management Systems ISO 14001
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Environmental Management position, preferably within the Recycling or Manufacturing Industries
- Front line supervisory / management experience
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and negotiation skills
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Sound leadership skills and abilities
- Represent Tyrecycle at networking events and regulatory investigations
- Current and valid driver’s licence
- Ability to travel within Australia as per business requirements
