The Challenge
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Electrical Estimator/Project Manager at Apex Energy Australia. The role involves estimating and overseeing electrical and renewable energy projects.
Estimating:
- Prepare and submit quotations and tenders.
- Collaborate with clients and suppliers to ensure best and accurate pricing ato project scope.
Project Delivery:
- Manag the complete delivery of projects including procurement using SIMPRO software.
- Track budgeting of labor and materials.
- Maintain regular and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage variations and progress claims for your projects.
- Report project status to senior management at weekly meetings or as requested.
- Delivering at times, remote electrical and renewable projects.
- Support the development and problem-solving abilities of field team leaders in line with company values and vision.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards, including AS3000.
Fundamentals
- Minimum 18 months of commercial project management experience, preferably in electrical or renewables area.
- Strong knowledge of AS/NZ electrical codes and standards.
- Project management qualifications (ideally).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be commercially solutions focused and guide field leaders.
- Progressive tenacious attitude to achieve the desired outcome.
- Current drivers licence & industry white card.
- Electrical qualifications (Ideally qualified electrician or engineer).
It is also advantageous if you have been exposed to SIMPRO and other project management tools.
