We're seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the implementation of cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Australia.
Location: Flexible - Adelaide, Sydney, or Melbourne
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies
- Oversee construction sites, managing contractors and workers
- Lead site planning and review meetings
- Review and ensure quality of construction and installation work
- Resolve construction issues through RFI and NCR processes
- Track progress and develop recovery plans as needed
- Evaluate change order requests from subcontractors
- Coordinate schedule updates, invoices, and submittals
The Ideal Candidate:
- Registered building practitioner
- 5+ years of construction and EPC industry experience
- Experience with utility-scale renewable energy projects
- Strong risk assessment and management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated success in project execution and delivery
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible to work evenings and weekends when required
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
