GCE Contractors are looking for experienced Civil Engineers to provide support and technical advice to onsite teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of various documents required to be submitted prior to commencement (quality plan, traffic management plan, WHS plan, construction environmental management plan and contractor's design documents)
- Preparation of the construction site management plan, site surveillance management plan and site WHS management plan as per Project Pack procedures.
- Reviewing project documentation and raising technical queries related to project contract requirement
- Providing engineering/technical advice to onsite foreman and staff involved in the execution of works
- Reviewing the construction program to ensure compliance with the contract and report any changes to the estimated cash flow.
- Managing variations and schedules on lump-sum projects
- Organising subcontractors and suppliers, checking completed items to ensure requirements are met
- Compiling and maintaining project documentation and quality records for the project ensuring completenes sand accuracy
- Evaluate the contractual scope of work
- Ensure appropriate quality standards and quality assurance requirements are met
- Manage risks and investigate potentially serious situations to circumvent problems or promptly implement corrective measures as required
- Attend job progress meetings as required and develop and maintain viable long-term relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors and subcontractors
- Manage and educate subcontractors related to GCE's project/job's Quality, Safety and Environmental aspects
- Respond to the Quality, Safety and Environmental policies of the company onsite
- Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations.
