Plant Operator - Front End Loader/Excavator - Leading Hand

Citywide is recruiting for a Front End Loader/Excavator Operator Leading Hand for our Transfer Station on Dynon Road, West Melbourne.

Monday to Friday - 6.00am to 2.06pm
Rostered weekend work required
Operation of Front End Loaders and Excavators

About the Role:

Day to day operation of the Dynon Rd facility which includes loading of waste into vehicles to be transported to landfills. The site processes a high volume of waste and operates 24 hours to provide a disposal point for commercial customers.

Responsibilities of the role include:

Coordinating the Front End Loader and Excavator operators and ensure L.E.A.N process is maintained.
Operation of Front End Loader and Excavator, providing ground support and direction.
Ensure service completion on a daily basis.
Ensure all fleet under your control are maintained in a safe and presentable condition, including vehicle inspections and audits.
Loading of compaction trailers
Safe driving and operation of vehicle
Carrying out all daily vehicle checks as per log book requirements
Manually cleaning any spillages

Essential Skills:

Front End Loader/Excavator Ticket
Experience in leading and motivating a team in a structured environment
Experience and knowledge of waste and recycling desirable
Current Victorian HC truck licence an advantage
Current Victorian High Risk Forklift Licence and advantage
Background or demonstrated ability to understand heavy equipment (mechanical & electrical preferred)
Pro-Active & agile
Committed and Flexible
Knowledge of Workplace OH&S requirements
First Aid Certificate
