The Responsibilities
- Prioritise safety above all else.
- Foster a supportive, learning environment valuing employees as Marine Infrastructure Specialists.
- Plan, execute, and finalise projects across company activities.
- Manage one or multiple key projects simultaneously.
- Act as the primary contact for clients, coordinating project requirements and meetings.
- Handle all project contractual, technical, and financial activities.
- Analyse drawings and prepare work programs, time lines, and cash flows to ensure smooth task progression.
- Prepare subcontract packages and manage their delivery and close-out phases.
- Monitor project time lines, milestones, and material delivery schedules, adjusting work schedules as needed.
- Oversee quality control and efficiency with the Construction Foreman/Supervisor, ensuring adherence to specifications and time lines.
- Manage and control project budgets, forecasting profit margins.
- Invoice stage payments promptly.
- Prepare and present project start-up, progress, and close-out reports for clients and executive management.
- Minimise company exposure and risk by managing contract documents and advising on potential delays, risks, and costs.
- Prepare and enforce project, safety, and environmental plans per the company's Integrated Management System and OHS&W regulations.
- Participate in estimating and tendering for projects, advising on risks, and preparing necessary documentation.
- Contribute to developing and reviewing the company's Integrated Management System for ISO compliance.
- Provide advice, recommendations, and mentoring to project team members.
- Identify and build long-term relationships with new clients, leveraging equity and partnership opportunities.
The Candidate
- Relevant degree in civil engineering or a related field
- 5-8+ years of experience in project management or site engineering with a civil contractor
- Proven leader and mentor
- Strong project management, scheduling, negotiation, and leadership skills, including expertise in Project Management methodologies and tools
- Effective decision-maker and problem solver
- Practical and goal-oriented
- Demonstrates integrity, respect, and enthusiasm
- Collaborative leadership style with excellent communication skills
- Capable of prioritising effectively and managing shifting priorities professionally
- Proficient in MS Project, Word, and Excel
- Estimating experience is a plus
